Terms of Service

Last updated: March 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Digital Disciple ("the Service"), operated at thejesusapp.co, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not access or use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Digital Disciple.

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Digital Disciple is a spiritual companion application that enables users to engage in compassionate, Bible-based conversations. The Service includes, but is not limited to, a waitlist system, referral program, prayer request submissions, daily Bible verse sharing, and AI-assisted spiritual dialogue.

The Service is currently in a pre-launch phase. Features, availability, and functionality may change at any time without prior notice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Waitlist & Accounts

To join our waitlist, you must provide a valid email address and your first name. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information you provide. We reserve the right to remove you from the waitlist if we determine that you have provided false or misleading information.

Our referral program allows existing waitlist members to invite others. Referral codes are for personal, non-commercial use only. We reserve the right to disqualify referrals that we believe are fraudulent, automated, or otherwise in violation of these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Submit content that is hateful, abusive, threatening, defamatory, or obscene
  • Harass, intimidate, or harm any individual or group
  • Submit spam, unsolicited messages, or automated requests
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' data
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate your access to the Service for violations of this section, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

6. Prayer Requests & User Content

By submitting a prayer request or any other content to the Service, you grant Digital Disciple a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and share that content within the Service for the purposes of community prayer and spiritual support.

You represent that any content you submit does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any applicable law.

Prayer requests are visible to other users of the Service. Please do not include sensitive personal information (such as full names, addresses, or financial details) in your prayer requests.

7. Spiritual Nature of the Service

Digital Disciple is designed as a spiritual companion, not as a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, medical advice, or pastoral care. Content generated or displayed by the Service is intended for spiritual reflection and encouragement only.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or any emergency, please contact emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately.

Bible verses, reflections, and AI-assisted responses provided through the Service reflect general Christian scripture and tradition and should not be taken as authoritative theological or doctrinal statements.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, logos, trademarks, and materials on the Service — including but not limited to text, graphics, images, and software — are the property of Digital Disciple or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or exploit any part of the Service without our express written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Digital Disciple expressly disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Digital Disciple and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Digital Disciple and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, at our sole discretion. Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

You may request removal from the waitlist or deletion of your submitted content at any time by contacting us.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under or relating to these Terms that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to binding arbitration or the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the applicable jurisdiction, as determined by Digital Disciple.
