Terms of Service
Last updated: August 13, 2026
1. Acceptance and operator
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you visit thejesusapp.co or use Digital Disciple. Digital Disciple is operated by Black & Rhine Group Ltd. By using the website or app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or app.
We may update these Terms when the service, law, or our practices change. The updated date above identifies the current version.
2. The current service
Digital Disciple is an individual Christian companion available for iPhone and iPad. It supports text and voice conversation about prayer, reflection, Scripture, and everyday spiritual growth. You may choose context to save so later conversations can respond with more continuity.
Digital Disciple is not Scripture, Jesus, God, a pastor, a church, a counselor, or an emergency service. Features and availability may change, and the service may not always be available or error-free.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Digital Disciple. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in details, and all activity under your account. Do not share access to your account or use another person's account without permission.
4. Content and your responsibilities
You remain responsible for the text, audio, and other content you submit, and for deciding what context to save. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit that content. Do not submit information that you are not permitted to share.
Content and saved context are used to provide the requested product experience as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Apple trials and subscriptions
Where applicable, the individual plan may begin with a 7-day trial and continue as an Apple App Store subscription. The current price, trial eligibility, renewal terms, and other subscription details are shown by Apple in the App Store or app before purchase. Apple processes payment and manages the subscription.
Deleting your Digital Disciple account does not cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Cancel or manage that subscription through Apple's subscription settings. Apple or RevenueCat transaction records and records we must keep by law may remain after account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Digital Disciple to:
- break the law or infringe another person's rights;
- harass, threaten, abuse, exploit, or meaningfully harm another person;
- submit unlawful, hateful, deceptive, defamatory, or sexually exploitative content;
- probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or another account;
- impersonate a person or organization, or use the service to send spam or automated abuse; or
- use the service in a way that could damage its availability, security, or integrity.
7. AI responses and safety boundaries
Digital Disciple uses AI. Responses can be incomplete, outdated, or mistaken and are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for your situation. Verify important spiritual guidance with Scripture and trusted human sources. Do not treat an AI response as medical, legal, financial, mental-health, pastoral, or other professional advice.
If you face an emergency, a crisis, or thoughts of self-harm, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional immediately. Do not rely on Digital Disciple for emergency support.
8. Privacy and deletion
The Privacy Policy explains what information Digital Disciple processes, why it is processed, which providers may receive it, and how retention and deletion work. You can delete your account in the app or use the instructions at Delete Account.
9. Intellectual property
Digital Disciple, its software, design, branding, and materials are owned by Black & Rhine Group Ltd or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while these Terms apply. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the service or its materials without permission.
10. Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, content, or access to the website or app. The service is provided on an "as available" basis, and we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, users, or our rights, to address a breach of these Terms, or when the service is discontinued. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that should continue by their nature, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing-law provisions, survive termination.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the service and its content are provided without warranties, express or implied. Black & Rhine Group Ltd is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute may be brought in a court or other forum with lawful jurisdiction. Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer protection or other rights that apply to you.
